Murray Asset Management formally emerged from the legal firm of Murray Beith Murray in March 2008.
The creation and separation of the firm followed a period in which Scottish solicitors had traditionally been closely involved with advising clients on their financial affairs.
In the mid-1980s, the legal firm recognised the importance of providing high quality professional financial advice and began to lay the foundations of an independent wealth management business within the legal firm.
This business grew and in March 2008, the separately regulated business of Murray Asset Management was created. We are proud of our parentage and throughout this evolution, our core values have remained, underpinned by a stable group of founding members and investment professionals.
As MAM’s business has grown so too has its team of investment and administration professionals who collectively have over 100 years of experience in the financial sector.
The team’s expertise extends across all areas of investments and financial planning. Our investment manager led research provides independent analysis of equities, collectives, fixed income and alternative investments. The expertise of our financial planning team includes, but is not limited to, providing advice on pensions, tax planning and protection arrangements.
MAM and Murray Asset Management are trading names of Murray Asset Management UK Ltd which is registered in England.
