Informed Financial Planning (IFP) was founded in 2004 by Kevin Ferriby, as he believed there was a place in the market for a small modern firm with a set of highly skilled and qualified financial planners, who truly have client service at their core.
By 2006, IFP were the first firm in Yorkshire to be awarded Corporate Chartered Status— a milestone we still proudly acknowledge today, alongside 50 other awards and accreditations in our trophy cabinet.
For more than two decades, IFP continues to deliver expert, independent, and Chartered advice. As the business has expanded, so has the board of directors. In 2022, Kevin Ferriby executed a management buyout, assuming the role of Chairman of IFP, while Josh Richardson seamlessly transitioned into the position of Managing Director. A new board was introduced, signalling a strategic move to safeguard the business’ longevity and protect our clients and employees.
With a fresh board of directors and a team of 6 financial planners who have over 100 years combined experience in the industry, we are confidently poised to uphold our founding principle: delivering peace of mind through independent financial advice.

There must be a written contract between the principal and the AR documenting the arrangement
